Development of industrial sector in 2012

 

The products in the worth of 33945.6 million were produced by the industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan in 2012. 75.4 per cent or 25609.8 million manat of the industrial products was produced in mining section, 18.9% or 6423.8 mln.manat in the area of processing, 5.1% or 1720.9 mln. in the area of electric power, gas and vapour production, 0.6% or 191.2 mln. manat in the section of water supply, waste treatment and processing.
The share of non-oil sector in industry was 6518.6 million AZN by being 19.2%.

Processing industry. During 2012 in amount of 6423.8 million manat or more than 5.4% output were produced in the processing field of industry. The share of non-oil products in processing industry was 69.2% or 4444.9 mln. manat.

During 2012, the sub-sectors with the highest share in the structure of product release in prosecing industry were food production (38.6%), the production of oil products (30.8%), metallurgy industry (5%), production of construction materials (4.9%), product of electric equipments (3.8%), drink production (2.5%), chemistry industry (2.4%), installation and maintenance of machine and its equipments (2.1%), and the joint special share of other 16 sub-sectors were 9.9%.
Over the mentioned period, the areas where the product increased with comporative prices were the fields of food production (3.1%), metallurgy industry (15.9%), production of construction materials (16.8%), product of electric equipments (1.7%), drink production (10%), installation and maintenance of machine and its equipments (39.2%), fabricated metal products (1.4%), production of computer and other electronic equipments (30.2%), output of rubber and plastic manufactured products (2.3 times), textile industry (1.6 times), furniture production (2.2 times), garment output (18.5%), leather and leather products and footwear (1.5 times).
88.1% or 29907.5 mln. manat of the total volume of industrial production was produced in Baku, 11.9% or 4038.1 mln. manat in other regions.
