Minister of Economy met with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Haye.
The Minister wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan. He stressed that Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, based on common religious and cultural values, are at the level of strategic partnership. Friendly and fraternal Pakistan is one of the first countries to recognize independence of Azerbaijan and open its embassy in Baku.
M.Jabbarov provided information about military provocations of the armed units of Armenia beginning from September 27, the crimes committed by Armenian forces against the civilian population using heavy artillery installations and rockets. The Minister brought to the notice that Pakistan’s unequivocal and decisive stance in connection with the aggressive policy of Armenia and its permanent support to Azerbaijan are highly appreciated by our people.
Jabbarov strongly condemned the terrorist attacks that took place in Pakistan in recent days and led to human casualties, and expressed his condolences to the Ambassador.
Expressing satisfaction with his activity in our country, Ambassador Bilal Haye noted that he would spare no effort to develop Pakistani-Azerbaijan cooperation. The Ambassador reiterated that Pakistan fully supports the fair position of our country in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and always stands with Azerbaijan.
The parties discussed the expansion of trade and economic ties between the two countries, mutual exchange of experience in various fields and other issues.
