Minister of Economy met with the heads of the delegations of Turkey, Georgia and Kazakhstan
The Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev met with the heads of the delegations from Turkey, Kazakhstan and Georgia within the framework of the International Conference on the “Role of the Trans-Caspian East-West Trade and Transit Corridor” in the execution of the "Belt and Road" Initiative in Beijing on February 6.
At the bilateral meeting with the Turkish Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communications Yuksel Joshkunyurek, it was stressed with satisfaction that the trade turnover between our countries increased by 16%, the mutual investments continued, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, at which Turkey’s participant, was put into operation in 2017, and other projects were continued. Moreover discussions were held on the current state and expansion of economic relations between the two countries, cooperation in the field of transport and transit cargoes, and the development of trade relations.
At the meeting with the deputy minister of economy and sustainable development of Georgia, Georgy Tserkishvili the minister Shahin Mustafayev stressed the importance of developing relations between the two countries in all directions and emphasized the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in expanding relations. Speaking about the economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev shared his views on the prospects of expanding the Azerbaijani-Georgian economic relations.
Within the framework of the meeting held between the minister of economy, Shahin Mustafayev and the deputy minister of investment and development of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, the parties discussed economic, trade and investment relations, transport and transit cooperation, expansion of relations between businessmen, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
