The regular meeting of the Working Group on Economic Growth, established to achieve the goal of sustainable and competitive economic development as outlined in the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026, has taken place. The meeting discussed the work carried out under the Strategy.
Samad Bashirli, the Chairman of the Working Group and Deputy Minister of Economy, emphasized in his speech the important role of implementing the measures under the country’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy in achieving sustainable and competitive economic growth. The Deputy Minister presented information on the status of implementation of measures within the Working Group’s activity areas and the work carried out on measures for which the Ministry of Economy is the primary implementing body.
Tarana Salifova, the Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, and Orkhan Sadigov, the Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Department at the Center, provided information on the work done in 2025 regarding the monitoring and evaluation of the Strategy, as well as future plans.
The meeting included discussions on the work carried out to implement the measures provided for in the Strategy.
It is noteworthy that, to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures outlined in the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026, and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state bodies, 8 working groups have been established.
