A meeting was held with representatives of legal entities engaged in building construction at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy
The meeting was dedicated to the topic of refund of part of the paid VAT for residential and non-residential areas purchased without cash.
Elshan Rahimli, Deputy Head of the Economic Analysis and Accounting Control Department of the State Tax Service, informed the participants “On the Terms and Rules for the refund of VAT paid for residential and non-residential properties purchased without cash from individuals engaging in building construction activities in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan by consumers who are natural persons” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 25, 2022 .
He stated that on November 21 of this year, the Internet Tax Administration launched a new portal (https://new.e-taxes.gov.az/eportal/az/login/) for buyers to apply for a refund of part of the VAT and compilation of e-receipts by persons engaged in building construction activities.
An informative video was presented to the participants.
In the end, the entrepreneurs' questions on reviewing applications, preparing e-receipts, making payments, etc. were answered.
