Mr. Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Czech Republic, met with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Co-Chairman of the Commission from the Czech Republic Mr. Petr Tresnak.
The importance of Azerbaijan-Czech relations, the significance of mutual visits and discussions in the development of cooperation was emphasized at the meeting.
Highlighting the potential for strengthening economic and trade partnership, Sahib Mammadov noted that the Joint Commission is a useful platform in this regard. It was stated that there are wide opportunities for expanding cooperation between our countries in the fields of trade, industry, transport-transit and tourism. In addition, it is possible to cooperate with Czech companies in the automotive industry, "smart city" and "smart village" projects.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Petr Tresnak noted the mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and shared his views on the directions for expanding relations.
The activities of the Intergovernmental Commission and the expansion of economic and trade cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
