Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the European Commissioner for Energy Mrs. Kadri Simson, who is on a visit to our country to participate in the 9th Ministerial meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 1st Ministerial meeting within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
The Minister of Economy stressed the importance of Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union, the importance of mutual visits and high-level meetings in the growing dynamics of relations, and pointed out that our country is a reliable partner in ensuring energy security of Europe.
The European Union noted the great potential of Azerbaijan in the field of renewable energy production, and also exchanged views at the meeting on the strategy for the transition to "green" energy, efficient use of resources and strengthening of partnership in the field of energy.
