A meeting was held with entrepreneurs in Agsu region under the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SBA) under the Ministry of Economy.
The purpose of the meeting is to learn about the needs of entrepreneurs operating in Agsu in the field of business establishment and development, to listen to the difficulties they face, to inform them about the state support mechanisms, including the support and services of KOBIA.
SME friend, which started to operate in order to provide on-site support to entrepreneurs, was presented to the business community of the region in the framework of the event held with the participation of entrepreneurs operating in Agsu and representatives of state institutions providing services to business subjects. Agsu SME friend is the 3rd SME friend operating in the Upper-Karabakh Shirvan economic region. In general, SME friends, who are representatives of KOBIA in the regions, currently cover 39 cities and regions of the country.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov noted the importance of the SME friend network in terms of providing on-the-spot support to business entities at the meeting with the entrepreneurs. It was reported that KOB friends are active in such areas as realization of business initiatives by micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, protection of entrepreneurial interests, creation and development of new SMEs, informing about state support mechanisms for entrepreneurs, coordinating with government agencies. Emphasizing the potential of Agsu region for business development, Orkhan Mammadov stressed the support of SME friends to realize this economic potential, and invited entrepreneurs to actively cooperate with SME friends.
The head of Agsu region Executive Power, Rovshan Bagirov, said that the regions are developing and there are favorable opportunities for further expansion of entrepreneurial activity in the region as a result of the successful socio-economic policy implemented in our country. It was noted that it will be useful for SME-friend entrepreneurs and those just started entrepreneurship in Agsu.
Films were presented about the support mechanisms provided by the Agency to SMEs, and questions of entrepreneurs were answered within the framework of the event.
Then the event participants got acquainted with the SME-friend office located in the Agsu Young Artists Center. The necessary conditions have been created for the provision of services to entrepreneurs in an SME-friend office. "SME volunteers" are also operating here.
