The delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev visited Madrid, Spain.
A meeting was held within the framework of the visit with the Secretary of State for Trade at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism of Spain Ms. Xiana Margarida Mendez Bertolo.
Elnur Aliyev, who provided information on the potential of economic and trade relations between our countries, noted the importance of organizing business meetings with the participation of business circles in realizing these opportunities and made a speech in detail about the favorable business and investment environment created in Azerbaijan, the works carried out for the purpose of reintegration and business revival in our territories liberated from occupation, and the opportunities created for investors. The importance of preparing the "Agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Spain" was emphasized in terms of increasing mutual investments between the two countries and ensuring legal regulation in this direction.
Ms. Xiana Margarida Mendez Bertolo noted the mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and shared her views on ways to expand partnership.
