It was emphasized that the economic cooperation between our countries has been actively developing in recent times, investment promotion and potential projects were discussed in the meeting with the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov.
It was emphasized during the meeting of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov with Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, that special importance was given to the development of bilateral relations. It was noted that the visits of the heads of state and the held high-level meetings gave impetus to the quality of the strategic partnership to a new stage and the continuous development of mutually beneficial cooperation. It was mentioned that the 1st Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Interregional Forum held in Tashkent in February of this year opened new horizons for the expansion of our cooperation. The purposeful steps taken in the direction of successful implementation of the agreements reached at the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan held in August last year are also yielding effective results. It was stated that there are opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of mutual investments. Work on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Fund is being continued for this purpose.
Laziz Kudratov emphasized that the economic and trade cooperation between his country and Azerbaijan is developing on a rising line, he said that the establishment of business relations and relations between the regions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will further strengthen our mutually beneficial partnership. It was pointed out that favorable business opportunities in Azerbaijan increase the interest of Uzbek entrepreneurs to invest in industrial zones in our country and to implement joint projects.
The parties also exchanged views on matters of importance in terms of strengthening partnership in industry, energy, agriculture, investment, small and medium business, trade, transport-transit and other fields.
