Issues of development of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, increase of mutual trade turnover, creation of joint enterprises, as well as development of economic sectors and implementation of Azerbaijan-Russia joint projects were discussed.
The delegation headed by the co-chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov is on a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Economy held meetings with the heads of a number of large enterprises of Tatarstan within the framework of the visit. Information was provided during the meetings on favorable business and investment opportunities created for the activity of foreign companies in our country, discussions were held on cooperation and prospective projects of mutual interest in energy, engineering and other sectors of industry. Tatarstan companies submitted their cooperation proposals.
The Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activities of enterprises in Innopolis Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Tatarstan. Information was given about the successful synergy established between the educational and economic sectors in the SEZ and the innovative products and technological innovations produced by the residents based on the advanced technologies. Ideas were also exchanged within the framework of the visit to the SEZ, on the possibilities of cooperation and realization of joint investment projects with business subjects in the industrial zones of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani delegation at Innopolis University of Tatarstan was informed about educational programs of the educational institution, scientific and technical innovations implemented in various sectors of the economy.
The delegation visiting Khimgrad Technopolis located in Kazan was informed about the activities of Technopolis, mainly about the opportunities created for small and medium-sized business entities in the chemical industry. Presentation was held on chemical, pharmaceutical, polymer and other industrial products, machines and equipment produced by residents. Opportunities for partnership and implementation of joint projects between enterprises operating in Technopolis and residents of Azerbaijan's industrial parks were considered.
It should be noted that Kazan will host the 3rd meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation and the Tatarstan-Azerbaijan business forum within the framework of the visit.
