The 3rd meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, the Tatarstan-Azerbaijan business forum was held between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan, and discussions were held on the intensification of economic relations.

It was a meeting between the delegation led by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov of the Russian Federation. The parties noted that there are wide opportunities for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan in various fields of the economy, and discussed the work to be done to strengthen cooperation.

The 3rd meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission was held in Kazan on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural fields between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Economy sharing his views on the diversification of Azerbaijan-Russia economic relations at the event, drew attention to the importance of intensifying institutional cooperation between the relevant institutions, and the wide potential for cooperation in the reconstruction and restoration works carried out in our territories liberated from occupation. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission Oleg Korobchenko noting the successful relations between our countries in many fields, stated that Tatarstan companies have real proposals for cooperation with the business circles of Azerbaijan and the importance of accelerating work in this direction.
The parties also discussed the prospects of intensifying economic and trade relations.
The co-chairmen of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission signed the Protocol within the framework of the meeting, on the results of the 3rd meeting. The document envisages the strengthening of partnership in the fields of digital economy, science, education, youth, sports, cultural-humanitarian, social and tourism.
In addition, a memorandum was signed on cooperation between the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the "Innovative Industrial Park - Technopark in the field of High Technologies" of the "Khimgrad" Technopolis of Tatarstan.
Tatarstan-Azerbaijan business forum held
A Tatarstan-Azerbaijani business forum was held in Kazan as part of the visit. The event was attended by officials from both parties, as well as representatives of companies operating in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, construction, ICT, finance and consulting.
Mikayil Jabbarov highly appreciated the modern technologies (know-how) applied in the industrial zones and advanced enterprises of Tatarstan, and stated the importance of establishing successful cooperation in this direction, as the economies of Azerbaijan and Tatarstan have a number of similar characteristics. Thus, the fertile investment environment created in Azerbaijan, the favorable geographical position of our country, and the developed transport and logistics infrastructure promise wide prospects for entrepreneurs of Tatarstan.
Oleg Korobchenko stated that Tatarstan entrepreneurs are interested in participating in the projects implemented in Azerbaijan and noted that business events play an invaluable role in establishing relations between entrepreneurs and increasing the efficiency of existing gardens.
Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, Head of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency - AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) Orkhan Mammadov, First Deputy Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Insaf Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan, Shamil Ageyev, shared their views on the development of cooperation between the relevant institutions and business circles of the two countries.
Opportunities, support mechanisms and business initiatives created in Tatarstan and Azerbaijan were brought to the attention of entrepreneurs, and meetings were held at the event, in B2B format between participating companies.
The delegation of Azerbaijan also held a meeting within the framework of the visit, at the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan. A presentation on the economic and investment potential of Tatarstan was demonstrated for the participants at the Agency's Unified Presentation Center, and the possibilities of realization of joint investment prospects with Tatarstan were discussed.
