In accordance with the cooperation agreement with the Turkish company Gen İlaç ve Sağlık Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., it is planned to build a pharmaceutical products factory in Azerbaijan in order to contribute to the replacement of imports of important pharmaceutical products at the expense of local production and to obtain them in the consumer market under favorable conditions.
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy with the company "Gen İlaç ve Sağlık Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş." specializing in the field of pharmaceutical production in Turkey. Discussions were held at the meeting held with the participation of Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov regarding the expansion of cooperation with the company.
It was emphasized at the event that the political will of the heads of state, friendly and brotherly relations, and the implementation of the tasks given by them are important in the effective use of the potential of economic cooperation. It was brought to attention that a successful economic-trade and investment partnership has been implemented between Azerbaijan and Turkey. And the expansion of the scope of the Preferential Trade Agreement with the fraternal country, which is one of the main trade partners of our country, will create an additional incentive to strengthen our economic and trade cooperation. It was reported that effective steps are being taken towards the development of partnership with Turkish companies and the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects. Pharmaceutical cooperation is also important in this respect. Cooperation in this field can expand the possibilities for the production of pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan.

The main goal of the project is to contribute to the replacement of imports of important pharmaceutical products at the expense of local production and their acquisition in the consumer market under favorable conditions. As per the document, it is planned to build a factory for the production of pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan. In addition to the domestic market, the products produced by the plant are expected to be exported to neighboring countries.
