First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with Abdulhamid Al-Khalifa, Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) within the framework of the 48th Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The National Priorities of Azerbaijan's socio-economic development until 2030 were informed and it was stated that our country is interested in cooperation with international financial institutions within the framework of the set goals, and the necessity of expanding relations in the direction of the development of priority areas was brought to attention during the meeting. The event also discussed issues such as the expansion of cooperation in the direction of the restoration and reconstruction of our territories liberated from occupation, the potential of East-West and North-South transport corridors and the role of our country as a transport hub in this direction, as well as researching projects in the field of renewable energy and supporting SMEs.
A high-level delegation of the Fund was invited to an official visit to our country in order to develop bilateral cooperation.
