The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy and "PWC Azerbaijan" company jointly organized the All-Republic Olympiad on "Taxes" dedicated to the memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev among students of higher education institutions. 492 students from 22 universities of the country took part in the first stage of the competition held on May 11-12 and 16 in Baku and regions, including higher education institutions of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.
The Olympiad is held in two stages, consisting of qualifying and final round. Students tested their knowledge and skills at the initial stage on taxes by answering the presented questions in the format of a test exam. The qualifying stage of the Olympiad was prepared by the Training Center of the State Tax Service on the degree of complexity of the tax system and tax legislation and was conducted on the basis of the submitted test questions. 5 people with the highest results above 50 from each university were successful at this stage and qualified for the final stage of the competition.
Candidates who are successful in the qualifying stage will visit the Training Center located in Shamakhi district in June, and compete there in the final stage.
It should be noted that the main goal of the Olympiad is to instill knowledge in the field of taxation among students of higher education institutions in the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", as well as to increase interest in the field of taxation.
