Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Romania's Minister of Energy Virgil Daniel Popescu.
The Minister of Economy emphasized the successful development of relations with Romania, the importance of mutual visits and meetings in expanding cooperation. It was reported that Azerbaijan-Romania economic and trade partnership is expanding, trade turnover is increasing as a result of the development of trade relations, which are the main directions of economic partnership. However, there are great opportunities for the development of cooperation between our countries in energy, transport-transit, industry and other fields. The minister noted the mutually beneficial cooperation between the business entities of the two countries, as well as the efficient activity of SOCAR in Romania.
Virgil Daniel Popescu noted that his country attaches importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan, that relations have become more intense recently, and shared his views on the prospects of joint economic projects.
The parties discussed various areas of the economy, including strengthening cooperation in the field of energy and other issues of mutual interest.
