Development directions of Azerbaijan-Hungary economic cooperation, promotion of mutual investments and possibilities of implementation of joint projects were discussed.
A videoconference meeting was held between Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Economic Development of Hungary Marton Nady.
It was noted that Azerbaijan-Hungary economic and trade relations are developing dynamically and the trade turnover between the two countries is increasing, the role of close relations between businessmen and the held meetings in strengthening cooperation was emphasized during the meeting. It was stated that there are ample opportunities for strengthening partnership in energy, industry, transport, information technology, agriculture, food, pharmaceutical and other fields. The minister mentioned that the construction of the production and filling plant of aluminum beverage cans in the Alat Free Economic Zone is a successful example of effective business cooperation in accordance with the investment agreement signed between "Azerbaijan Investment Company" OJSC and "Hell Energy" company of Hungary.
Information was provided at the meeting on the opportunities and business environment created for the activities of private and foreign companies in Azerbaijan, and Hungarian companies were invited to active partnership.
Marton Nady touched on the importance of cooperation with our country in terms of energy security and shared his views on the directions of strengthening economic partnership.
The parties exchanged views on the directions of development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary, the promotion of trade relations, mutual investments and the possibilities of implementation of joint projects.
