The work to be done in Ganja under the "Green City" project was discussed.
The next meeting of the Management Group was held for the preparation of the "Green City" Action Plan for the city of Ganja with the participation of representatives of the relevant state institutions and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Discussions were held at the next meeting held in a virtual format under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov on the work done under the "Green City" Action Plan, the results achieved, and the proposed strategic approaches.
Note: The city of Ganja joined the Green Cities Program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) last summer as the first pilot city in Azerbaijan. Preparation of "Green City Action Plan" for the selected city is the basis of this Program. The main goal of the Action Plan is to help the city solve environmental issues through investments and other measures to support the transition to a "green" future. A management group was organized in Ganja under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy to supervise the process of preparing the "Green City Action Plan" and ensure coordination.
