First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with Junjao Bai, head of platform strategy of "TikTok" company, and Sergey Sokolov, director of state bodies and corporate affairs of the company.
It was mentioned that rapid digitization in the world economy and a significant increase in productivity in this regard create opportunities for quality development. Special importance in Azerbaijan, is attached to the improvement of digital infrastructure, the development and implementation of a strategy for the development of the digital economy, and the formation of human capital with knowledge and skills in accordance with the requirements of innovative technologies.
It was emphasized that the application of digital technologies in various areas of the economy, including education, healthcare and other spheres, will ensure the activation of sustainable development drivers and adaptation of our country to new global trends.
The parties exchanged ideas on the work done in the direction of the development of the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan, the activities of the "TikTok Startup Academy", the importance of social platforms for presenting business potential and opportunities for cooperation, as well as the preparation of content for informing and educating about taxes, financial literacy and the economic priorities of the country in general.
