The implementation of joint projects, COP29 and partnership opportunities for climate financing were discussed at the meeting with the World Bank delegation.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for the Europe and Central Asia.
Minister Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the importance of multidirectional relations and beneficial partnership with the World Bank for Azerbaijan. It was stated that beneficial partnership relations with the World Bank in terms of improvement of the investment environment, public-private sector partnership, innovations, development of management technologies and other directions contribute to the socio-economic development of our country and the achievement of the set goals.
The development priorities of our country, the fight against climate change, "green economy" and "green energy" policy, and the work done in this field were reported at the meeting.
Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for the Europe and Central Asia region, emphasized that the institution she represents attaches importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. It was mentioned that huge projects in which Azerbaijan also participates play an important role in strengthening regional development and stimulating sustainable development.
The investment projects prepared under the Country Partnership Framework prepared by the World Bank, as well as cooperation issues regarding the COP29 event, were discussed at the meeting.
