The documents on the assessment of joint investment opportunities and in the fields of business, communications, cybersecurity, smart technologies have been signed at the Azerbaijan – Slovakia Business Forum.
The Azerbaijan – Slovakia Business Forum has been organized in Baku by the Export and Investments Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SAIRO). Along with officials from both countries, representatives of more than 90 companies from the defense industry, ICT, the financial and logistics fields have participated in the event.
At the Business Forum with the participation of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Denisa Saková, the Slovakian Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Economy, the parties exchanged views on expanding the directions for joint activities boosting the efficiency of the bilateral economic relations, as well as strengthening partnerships in the areas of trade, energy, industry, transportation and tourism. The parties also evaluated the investment opportunities between Azerbaijan and Slovakia and touched upon the promotion of the collaboration and mutual investments among business communities.
The sides highlighted that increasing the trade turnover and diversifying the cooperation between the two countries are among the main objectives and that such business forums contribute significantly to the economic and trade relations.
At the Business Forum, Yusif Abdullayev, the Executive Director of AZPROMO, and Robert Simoncic, the CEO of SAIRO, gave information about the investment and export prospects of the two countries.
Within the framework of the Forum, the signing ceremony was held between the institutions. Memorandums of Cooperation were signed between Slovakia’s “SEAK s.r.o.” and “ITECH GROUP” LLC, as well as between the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) and “Eximbank SR”. These agreements mark a significant step towards fostering collaboration in business, communications, cybersecurity, and smart technologies between the respective parties. The implementation of these documents will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial partnerships in these areas.
The Business Forum continued with B2B meetings.
