Development of economic partnership with Belarus discussed

The expansion of the cooperation in the fields of trade, investments, agriculture, industry and opportunities for establishing joint production enterprises have been discussed at the meeting with Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Igor Nazaruk, Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

It was highlighted at the meeting that high-level mutual visits, jointly held events, signed documents have given impetus to the development of the relations between our two countries. It was noted that the intensification of the relations creates a robust foundation for expanding our economic cooperation. The economic and trade relations with Belarus are also strengthening. In January – July of 2024, the trade turnover between our countries increased by nearly 29%.

During the meeting, information about Azerbaijan's conducive business climate was provided. It was emphasized that there are great opportunities for expanding the partnership in the reconstruction works carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur.

The parties also discussed the implementation of the agreements signed to foster the relations, the expansion of the cooperation in trade, investments, agriculture, industry, as well as opportunities for establishing joint production ventures.
