The EBRD’s participation in the public-private partnership and the seawater desalination projects in Azerbaijan was discussed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Elisabetta Falcetti, the newly appointed Managing Director of EBRD for Türkiye and the Caucasus and wished her success in her activity.
At the meeting, the parties emphasized the successful relations between Azerbaijan and EBRD in various directions. It was noted that there are wide cooperation opportunities for achieving the development objectives set. In this regard, the parties discussed the steps to be taken in order to implement the priority projects in energy, especially renewable energy and alternative energy, the development of the private sector, infrastructure and other fields.
The parties also exchanged views on the participation of EBRD in Azerbaijan’s public-private partnership and the seawater desalination projects, as well as the involvement of EBRD experts in COP29.
