The expansion of cooperation in the fields of trade, investments and renewable energy was mulled at the meeting with Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment within the framework of COP29.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment of the Slovak Respublic Tomáš Taraba as part of COP29.
It was mentioned at the meeting that mutual economic relations are developing successfully, and there is great potential for expanding cooperation. The importance of continuing joint activities to strengthen the economic relations and increase the trade turnover was emphasized. Issues on the agenda of the Joint Working Group on Azerbaijan-Slovakia economic cooperation were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on expanding partnerships in the fields of trade, investments and energy, exchanging technology and expertise in the energy transition and green energy sectors. It was highlighted that the implementation of the cooperation potential offers wide prospects for the economic development of both countries.
