25th anniversary of the tax service celebrated

An event was organized on February 11 to celebrate the Professional Holiday of Tax Service Employees and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of modern tax authorities. The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and the State Tax Service (STS) under the Ministry, as well as officials of the Service and veteran tax employees. Additionally, 2,100 tax service employees joined the meeting remotely in an online format.

The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs who lost their lives in the Patriotic War. During the event, respect and appreciation were expressed to the State Tax Service employees who participated in the war and to the families of the martyrs.

Minister of Economy Mikayıl Jabbarov congratulated tax service employees on the 25th anniversary and their professional holiday. He emphasized the importance of human resource development, highlighting the need for a workforce equipped with advanced skills and innovative knowledge.

The head of the State Tax Service (STS), Orkhan Nazarli, delivered a presentation on expectations from human resources and the planned activities within the 2025-2028 Strategy of the Service. He spoke about the core values emphasized in tax authorities, highlighted the importance of soft skills, and shared his thoughts on creating a motivational work environment.

At the event, several tax authority employees who demonstrated outstanding performance were awarded the title of "Honored Tax Service Employee", as well as STS badges and Certificates of Honor. Veteran tax employees were also recognized. Additionally, individuals who had previously served in the tax service, contributed to its development with their experience, and are now holding important state positions were awarded the STS Certificate of Honor for their continued service to the country's progress.

The event concluded with a concert program.
