Deputy minister of trade of Turkiye visited Aghdam Industrial Park

The Turkiye delegation was informed about the favorable business environment and incentives created for entrepreneurs in the Aghdam Industrial Park.

The delegation led by Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkiye, Mustafa Tuzju, got acquainted with the reconstruction efforts in the territories liberated from occupation. During the meeting with Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, the guests were informed about the work carried out in the liberated territories, including the Aghdam Industrial Park, the attractive opportunities for investors, the infrastructure created for entrepreneurial activity, and the tax, customs, and other incentives applied.

It was noted that the Aghdam Industrial Park, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, dated May 28, 2021, holds special significance in terms of unlocking the business potential of the liberated territories, developing the non-oil sector, increasing employment, and boosting the production of competitive products. Located at the crossroads of Karabakh and other regions, Aghdam Industrial Park ranks second among the country's industrial parks in terms of the number of resident companies. Currently, 9 enterprises operate in the Industrial Park. The products manufactured there are not only sold in the domestic market but are also exported.

The delegation became acquainted with the operations of the manufacturing enterprises located within the territory of the industrial park.

As part of the visit, the Turkiye delegation traveled to the cities of Khankendi and Shusha, visited historical sites, and familiarized themselves with the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts.
