Expansion of economic cooperation with Belarus discussed

At the Ministry of Economy, a meeting was held with the delegation led by Tatyana Lugina, Chairwoman of the Belarusian State Concern "Bellegprom". During the meeting, cooperation in the field of light industry and mutual investment opportunities were discussed.

Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov informed the guests about the existing opportunities for the production and sale of light industry goods in Azerbaijan, noting that there is great potential for expanding trade, industrial, and investment cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted the favorable business environment in our country, industrial zones, transit and transport-logistics capabilities, incentives provided to investors in the liberated territories, and support mechanisms for the development of entrepreneurship.

Chairwoman of the Belarus State Concern “Bellegprom,” Tatyana Lugina, emphasized their interest in partnership on the establishment of joint production facilities and the integration of technological solutions. Information was provided on Belarus’s light industry sector, as well as the production and export potential of the Concern. The importance of the light industry sector in terms of meeting domestic market demand, employment, and regional development was highlighted, along with initiatives related to the application of recycling technologies and the production of innovative products.

During the meeting, the heads of participating enterprises discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of light industry, particularly in the textile sector. They exchanged views on mutual investments, collaboration within industrial parks, experience sharing, and workforce training. The participants also voiced their proposals regarding these areas of cooperation.

A detailed exchange of views was held on the development of relations between Azerbaijani and Belarusian companies.
