The meeting discussed the optimization of public services provided to entrepreneurs, the integration of these services into the “G2B” portal, and the efficient organization of the activities of SMB (Small and Medium Business) Houses.
The next meeting of the Coordination Group, which operates on a permanent basis under the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), was held at the “Baku SMB House.” Representatives of the relevant government agencies represented in the Coordination Group attended the meeting.
The Chair of the Coordination Group, First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev, recalled the tasks assigned at the first meeting of the Coordination Group established in 2024. He emphasized that this platform plays an important role in putting forward new initiatives and projects related to support measures for the SME sector, sharing information on current activities, exchanging ideas and consultations, as well as exploring joint solutions to emerging challenges.
Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), Orkhan Mammadov, provided information on the implementation of the tasks and decisions made within the framework of the Coordination Group during the reporting period. He noted that, taking into account the proposals of the relevant government agencies, the 2025 Action Plan of the Coordination Group has been prepared. A dedicated working group has been established to optimize the services provided by state institutions to business entities, which includes 19 government bodies, including the Ministry of Economy. Initial criteria for the optimization of government services to businesses have been developed and refined based on the feedback and proposals of relevant state institutions. Additionally, all data and services on the platform have been audited as part of the integration of public services into the "G2B" portal. As a result, by May 1, 2025, more than 1,500 services from 144 public institutions have been integrated into the "G2B" portal.
The Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) also provided information about the currently operating and newly established SMB Houses.
The meeting included discussions on organizing activities aimed at optimizing paid services registered in the “G2B” service registry, proposed criteria for this purpose, and the formation of “focus groups.” Additionally, presentations were held on the efficient organization of activities at SMB Houses and the “e-SMB house” portal, followed by listening to proposals from government agencies.
It should be noted that, by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated January 13, 2024, a Coordination Group operating permanently under SMBDA was established. The Coordination Group is a collegial body functioning on a public basis, composed of representatives from state agencies created under the Agency, aimed at coordinating activities in the development of SMEs, and ensuring effective and prompt coordination between the state bodies represented in the Coordination Group at SMB Houses and SMBDA. Nearly 30 representatives from various state institutions are represented in the Coordination Group.
