At the United Nations (UN) High-Level Political Forum held in New York City, USA, information was provided about the results achieved in Azerbaijan regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The United Nations (UN) High-Level Political Forum for 2025 is being held in New York City. At the Forum, which is being held under the theme “‘Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda’,” Azerbaijan is being represented by the Secretary of the National Coordination Council on Sustainable Development and Head of the Department for Sustainable Development and Social Policy at the Ministry of Economy, Huseyn Huseynov.
Within the framework of the event, presentations were made on the reforms implemented and the results achieved in Azerbaijan in the following areas: “SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being,” “SDG 5: Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women,” “SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth,” and “Engaging Stakeholders in the Implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” Amid global challenges, the international community was informed about Azerbaijan’s efforts in ensuring sustainable economic development, maintaining macroeconomic stability, improving the population’s well-being, strengthening the non-oil and gas sector, promoting the development of the digital economy, and other key areas.
The UN High-Level Political Forum continues its work through sessions held on various thematic topics.
