At the meeting of the Working Group on the Establishment of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure held at the Ministry of Economy, the integration of spatial data of the relevant state institutions into a unified system was discussed.
Within the framework of the measures implemented to develop digital governance and increase the efficiency of public services in Azerbaijan, work on the establishment of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure is underway.
Organized by the Ministry of Economy, the next meeting of the Working Group comprising representatives of relevant state bodies operating in this field was held. The process of integrating spatial data available in state bodies into a unified system – the "National Spatial Data" information system, related technical and organizational work, as well as other upcoming issues, were discussed.
It is noteworthy that in accordance with the relevant decrees of the Head of State, the preparation of the "National Spatial Data" information system has been entrusted to the Ministry of Economy. In the future, the system will facilitate the adoption of digital decisions in urban planning, agriculture, property management, and other fields.
