30,000 citizens benefited from trainings within “National Program” framework

Under the "National Program," nearly 30,000 citizens have so far benefited from approximately 150,000 training sessions free of charge. Registration for the "National Program" continues.

Since its launch in April, nearly 30,000 citizens have benefited from around 150,000 free courses on the "Coursera" online education platform within the framework of the "National Program." Citizens have successfully completed 50,000 courses and obtained international certificates.

Users have predominantly enrolled in courses in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science. At the same time, there has been an increase in enrollments for courses in project management, soft skills, cybersecurity, business, logic, and mathematics.

Within the framework of the program, 760 individuals who completed courses in specific fields have been awarded a “Digital Badge.” This badge is granted on the Coursera platform to those who have successfully completed at least 3 or 4 courses in 38 recommended subject areas.

The fields in which the most “Digital Badges” have been awarded are:

  1. Business and Entrepreneurship: Artificial Intelligence, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship – 77 badges
  2. Digital Transformation: Change, Innovate, Manage – 61 badges
  3. Project Management: Strategy and Execution – 54 badges
  4. Cybersecurity – Cyber Defense: Stay Ahead of Attacks – 47 badges
  5. Digital Marketing: Strategy and Artificial Intelligence – 47 badges

Within the framework of the “National Program,” starting from August, local higher education institutions and companies have begun uploading their training and courses on the “Coursera” platform under the organization of 4SIM. Sumgait State University and the “Safavy” online education platform have already integrated more than 20 courses onto the “Coursera” platform using the “Course Builder” tool. These programs, offered in Azerbaijani, have attracted significant interest from local users, with over a thousand users already benefiting from these trainings.

On the “Coursera” platform, over 12,000 specialized courses and trainings from nearly 350 prestigious universities and leading technology companies—including Oxford, Stanford, Yale, Duke, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Illinois, Florida, Sydney, as well as Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, AWS, Oracle, GitLab, Intel, SAP, and Salesforce—are available to users of the “National Program.”

It should be noted that within the framework of the “National Program,” the 15 most in-demand courses on the “Coursera” platform have been dubbed in Azerbaijani, while 2,500 courses are provided with Azerbaijani subtitles. (Course list – https://bit.ly/4ogG5Mw)

The main goal of the “National Program” is to accelerate digital transformation in Azerbaijan, enhance citizens’ knowledge and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, and support the preparation of competitive personnel for the labor market. Within the framework of the program, tens of thousands of users are expected to benefit from courses on “Coursera,” the world’s largest online learning platform, over the course of one year. Azerbaijani citizens, regardless of age or employment status, can register at https://form.4sim.gov.az/ to take advantage of this opportunity.

The program is implemented in partnership with leading companies such as SOCAR, Pasha Holding, BP, JOCAP, and Azerconnect Group.

It should be noted that last year, during the pilot phase of the “4IR Academy,” 10,000 individuals benefited from Coursera, earning over 4,200 international certificates. In 2024, the project won the “Excellence Award 2024” in the “Artificial Intelligence Innovation” category, organized by Coursera.
