Meeting held with representatives of US companies

Prospects for cooperation with representatives of the U.S. private sector and the establishment of new relations were discussed.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with representatives of the U.S. Certified Business Delegation to the Middle Corridor.

At the meeting, it was noted that the discussions and signed documents on August 8 of this year in Washington, with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the Prime Minister of Armenia, opened new perspectives for Azerbaijan-U.S. relations. The strategic importance of the project that will ensure unhindered access to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was emphasized.

It was emphasized that the expansion of the Azerbaijan-U.S. strategic partnership is important for the diversification of trade and energy routes along the Middle Corridor and for increasing economic benefits for the countries of the region. Azerbaijan’s key transport-transit position, as well as its initiatives and infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing trade flows through the Corridor connecting Europe and Asia, were highlighted. In this regard, it was noted that strategic ties with the Central Asian countries are being strengthened.

Azerbaijan’s important role in Europe’s energy security, as well as the strategic significance of the projects being implemented for the development of renewable energy resources and their transmission to Europe, was highlighted.

At the meeting, discussions were held on acquainting representatives of the U.S. private sector with trade, energy, infrastructure, and logistics opportunities in Azerbaijan, assessing cooperation prospects in the respective fields, and establishing new connections. U.S. companies were invited to benefit from the favorable business and investment environment created in the country.
