“Economic Growth” Working group meeting held

A regular meeting of the "Economic Growth" Working Group established to achieve the goal of a sustainable and competitive economy as outlined in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026,” was held.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli, emphasized the role of implementing measures under the country’s Socio-Economic Development Strategy in achieving sustainable and competitive economic growth. The Deputy Minister highlighted the status of implementation of measures in line with the Working Group’s areas of activity and informed about the work carried out on the measures for which the Ministry of Economy is the main executor.

Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Ayaz Museyibov and Head of Department Nijat Hajizade provided information on the measures implemented within the framework of the Strategy, as well as the monitoring and evaluation results for the first half of 2025.

At the meeting, discussions were held with the members of the Working Group and representatives of the relevant state institutions on further increasing the outcome indicators, and the next steps were determined.

It should be noted that 8 working groups have been established to ensure the full, timely, and effective implementation of the measures envisaged in the “Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022–2026” and to coordinate the activities of the relevant state institutions.
