At the meetings held within the framework of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov’s visit to Pakistan, discussions on strengthening the economic cooperation were held.
The Azerbaijani delegation led by Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has paid a visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Within the framework of the visit, several meetings were held, and discussions on the partnership were conducted.
During the meeting with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the parties emphasized the importance of the investment partnership for enhancing the economic relations. The development perspectives of the bilateral economic cooperation were noted. The sides also evaluated opportunities to expand the joint activities in trade, energy, industry, transit, tourism and other fields.
At the meeting with Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ahmad, the National Coordinator of the Special Investment Facilitation Council of Pakistan (SIFC), opportunities to foster the relations in energy, investments and other areas were highlighted. The parties explored prospects to expand mutual investments, including in the oil and gas sector, and promote joint projects, alongside active support for business partnerships.
