During the meeting at the Ministry of Economy with the Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Türkiye and the Caucasus, the Bank's activities in Azerbaijan and items on the cooperation agenda have been discussed.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has met with the delegation led by Elisabetta Falcetti, the EBRD's Managing Director for Türkiye and the Caucasus.
At the meeting, the EBRD's activities in Azerbaijan and topics on the cooperation agenda were discussed. Opportunities for joint action regarding the priority areas of the Bank's investment strategy, particularly water supply, household waste management, urban development, transport infrastructure, and renewable energy projects, were reviewed.
The parties noted that the projects implemented by the Bank in our country make an important contribution to the diversification of the economy, the development of the private sector, and the increase of sustainable financial flows. At the same time, issues regarding the expansion of investment priorities, project financing, and the enhancement of technical support were in the spotlight.
