Cooperation issues with the International Monetary Fund have been discussed at the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli has held a meeting with Anna Bordon, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Azerbaijan.
The meeting covered discussions on the current and medium-term economic forecasts, structural reforms, measures taken to diversify the Azerbaijani economy, the Ministry of Economy's activities in this area, as well as reforms implemented in tax policy and tax administration.
Information was provided on the expansion of the state support mechanisms and the application of new tools to foster entrepreneurship in the country, alongside investment policies in the non-oil and gas sector. Opportunities for partnership with international financial institutions were also highlighted.
The parties exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
