As part of a session held during the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev, new cooperation and investment documents covering various sectors were signed.
A total of 11 documents were signed as part of the session titled “Rebuilding Trust in a Fragmented World: Azerbaijan as a Strategic Gateway Between Regions”, held during the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Ilham Aliyev.
The signed documents cover cooperation in construction and development, the digital economy, renewable energy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, water management, sports and investment promotion.
Cooperation in Construction and Development
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in construction and development was signed between Anar Akhundov, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Ta Ngoc Da, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam’s ROX Group Joint Stock Company (ROX Group).
Development of the Digital Economy
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the development of Azerbaijan’s digital economy was signed between Azer Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Economy, and Gabriela Popescu, General Manager of Microsoft Romania, Moldova & CIS.
Solar and Wind Energy Projects in Azerbaijan
A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in assessing the implementation of solar and wind energy projects was signed between Elnur Soltanov, Deputy Minister of Energy, and Pham Minh Tuan, Chairman of the Executive Board of Energy Companies within Vietnam’s ROX Group Joint Stock Company (ROX Group).
New Technology-Based Manufacturing Project in the Alat Free Economic Zone
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of the Alat Free Economic Zone Authority, and Vitali Yevdokimenko, Founder of Inovest AFEZCO, Azerbaijan.
Investment Project in the Agricultural Sector
An agreement on the long-term lease of land for the ABAK-WASSERSTEIN Swiss-Azerbaijani Plantations and Processing Facilities Projects was signed between Seymur Orujov, Head of Agstafa District Executive Authority, and Zoltan Péter Sztuchlik, Representative of Switzerland’s iCsquared GmbH.
Aghdam Poultry Project
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ulvi Mansurov, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund; Niyazi Amirbayov, CEO of Agro Dairy, Azerbaijan; and Petr Čingr, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Czech Republic’s AGROFERT, a.s.
Production of Veterinary Vaccines
An agreement was signed between Ulvi Mansurov, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund, and Abdullah Tutak, Director of Türkiye’s VETAL Hayvan Sağlığı Ürünleri A.Ş.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Ulvi Mansurov, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund, and Ondrej Dragúň, Chief Financial Officer of Slovakia’s Saneca Pharmaceuticals, a.s.
Investment by the Azerbaijan-Oman Direct Investment Fund
