Applications for 2027 are now being accepted under the Digital Economy Development Support Programme, one of the key initiatives of the Strategy for the Development of the Digital Economy in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2029.
Implemented by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), operating under the Ministry of Economy, the programme aims to accelerate the technological transformation of local enterprises. Its objectives are to enhance business operational efficiency and competitiveness by promoting the adoption of advanced technologies, expand innovative and sustainable production capabilities, and contribute to the development of the digital economy in the country.
Under the programme, the technological readiness of enterprises is assessed in accordance with international methodologies, with the participation of local and international experts. Based on the assessment results, a tailored technological transformation roadmap is developed for each enterprise, taking into account its specific needs and priorities. At the next stage, enterprises receive technical expert support for implementing the identified solutions, as well as assistance in accessing relevant financial resources.
In 2026, the technological readiness of 18 enterprises was assessed, and individual transformation roadmaps were developed for them. A number of enterprises have already begun implementing priority projects identified in these roadmaps. The solutions being implemented cover the digitalisation and automation of production and management processes, more efficient use of data, and other areas of technological development.
The programme aims to provide direct support for the Industry 4.0 transformation of a total of 65 enterprises by 2030.
It should also be noted that the services provided under the programme are free of charge for participating enterprises.
