Expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation with Egypt focused

First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev has accepted Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for European Affairs Ihab Nasr.

Congratulating Ihab Nasr on Egypt’s Revolution Day, the First Deputy Minister voiced: “Relations with Egypt are given importance. Our countries are successfully cooperating in a number of areas, including within the framework of international organizations, and great importance is attached to the expansion of trade and economic relations with Egypt. The documents signed at the last meeting of the Joint Commission on Intergovernmental economic, technical and scientific cooperation between Azerbaijan and Egypt, which is a convenient platform in this area, serve to develop partnerships between business circles. In addition, important measures in terms of establishing direct ties between businessmen and developing partnerships are the organization of business forums, trade missions, and mutual participation in exhibitions”.

Talking of investment cooperation, Elnur Aliyev invited Egyptian businessmen to participate in the implementation of projects in our liberated territories, along with other areas of the economy.

Sharing his views on the areas of improvement of partnership, Ihab Nasr, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for European Affairs, stressed that his country is interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan.

Issues of expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were focused by the meeting.
