Agency for Development of Economic Zones (ADEZ) organized a study visit of media representatives to the agro-park of Investel Group LLC, located in the village of Shikhli II, Gazakh.
Media representatives were notified that Investel Group has a total of 1,041 hectares of agricultural land in the Gazakh and Absheron regions and specializes in farming, horticulture, sorting, packaging, and logistics.
Potatoes, wheat and barley were planted on a common arable land with an area of 1030 hectares of the agro-park located in Gazakh. In the farm of the agro-park, located in Absheron region, an intensive almond orchard with an area of 7.5 hectares has been planted.
The agro-park reached the production of 14,276 tons of potatoes, 1,580 tons of wheat and 485 tons of barley in 2021, and 2,152 tons of wheat and 581 tons of barley in six months of this year. This year, marketable potatoes were planted on 337 hectares of the agro-park, and potato harvesting is currently underway. The average yield in the field is 45-55 tons of potatoes. Gazakh Agropark has a line for daily cleaning, sorting and packaging of potatoes for 250 tons, and 2 cold storage complexes with a capacity of 7,800 cubic meters, and 14,889 cubic meters in Absheron.
To date, 22.6 million manats have been invested in Investel Group, where 200 people have been provided with permanent and 400 people with seasonal jobs.
