· IFAD is present in five regions and across 92 countries, focusing its efforts where poverty and hunger are most severe.

· Since its establishment, IFAD has provided more than US$26 billion in loans and grants, contributing to improved livelihoods for more than 512 million people. In addition, IFAD's ongoing project portfolio currently reaches more than 92 million people.

· According to IFAD's 2025 Annual Report, the Fund's ongoing investment portfolio reached US$8.46 billion across 83 countries and more than 170 programmes in 2025.

Information about cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization

· On 11 April 1994, the Agreement on Accession between the Republic of Azerbaijan and IFAD was signed, and Azerbaijan officially commenced cooperation with the organization in 1997.

  • Sovereign loans were attracted for 5 projects and all projects have been completed.
