· IFAD is present in five regions and across 92 countries, with 51 field offices (located in 49 countries), focusing its efforts where poverty and hunger are most severe.

· Since its establishment, the Fund has provided more than $25 billion in loans and grants for projects that have benefited hundreds of millions of rural people. At the same time, its currently active project portfolio reaches more than 90 million people.

Information about cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization

· On 11 April 1994, the Agreement on Accession between the Republic of Azerbaijan and IFAD was signed, and Azerbaijan officially commenced cooperation with the organization in 1997.

  • Sovereign loans were attracted for 5 projects and all projects have been completed.
