Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Acwa Power" company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Abdullah Rashid Abunayyan.
The Minister of Economy emphasized that the economic relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are developing, business ties are expanding with business circles. It was stated that increasing energy efficiency and development of the renewable energy field is one of the main priorities of our country against the background of modern challenges. A new page in the development of energy projects has opened in this direction with the start of the construction of the 240 MW "Khizi-Absheron" Wind Power Plant by the company in Azerbaijan in 2022.
Information was provided on the incentives applied to "green" energy projects, and a discussion was held about the seawater desalination project with "Acwa Power" company in the meeting.
