Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Minister of Environment and Energy Security of Italy Gilberto Picetto Fratin, who was on a visit to our country to participate in the 9th Ministerial Meeting within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 1st Ministerial Meeting within the framework of the Green Energy Advisory Council.
The Minister of Economy emphasized the successful development of relations between our countries, the important role of the visits of the heads of state and the negotiations in strengthening the partnership. It was noted that Italy is one of the main trade partners of Azerbaijan and our economic and trade cooperation is expanding. It was stated that the strengthening of mutual investment activities is one of the main goals of bilateral relations.
Information was provided at the meeting about the favorable business and investment environment of Azerbaijan, and Italian companies were invited to active cooperation.
The parties exchanged views on the development prospects of economic relations, cooperation in the field of energy, promotion of mutual investments and activities of Italian companies in our territories liberated from occupation.
