The citizens of Azerbaijan are supporting the fraternal country in the form of financial resources and donations in order to help the victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey. Citizens providing financial assistance use electronic payment systems, and information is disseminated among the population about such cases as tax deductions from citizens' money transfers.
The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan reports that since the electronic payments made by citizens to assist the victims of the earthquake in Turkey are not related to the purchase of works and services provided in any electronic commerce, VAT is not collected from those payments by the banks making the payment.
Citizens who encountered cases of tax deductions from their accounts during transfers can report to the hotline of the State Tax Service, as well as the relevant bank, through the 195-1.2 Call Center of the Ministry of Economy.
