An appeal was accepted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the conference participants on "Heydar Aliyev and the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan".
As is known, 2023 has been declared the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country. The National Leader has undeniable merits in the formation of the market economy, restoration and development of entrepreneurial traditions in Azerbaijan. national leader Heydar Aliyev had historic meetings with local entrepreneurs 21 years ago - on April 25, 2002, and with foreign businessmen in May. It is no coincidence that April 25 has been celebrated as "Entrepreneurs' Day" in our country for 8 years by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated April 21, 2016.
A conference on "Heydar Aliyev and the development of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan" was held on April 25 in "Gulistan" palace in connection with the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and "Entrepreneurs' Day" with the support of the Ministry of Economy with the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SBA) and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan.
The participants of the event first visited the grave of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor and laid a wreath in front of the monument, commemorating his memory with respect. Then, the memory of our heroes died for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was commemorated in Martyrs' Alley, and a wreath was placed at the "Eternal Torch" complex.
The conference began with the performance of the national anthem of Azerbaijan, a minute's silence in memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs died for the territorial integrity of our country. The event was attended by heads of relevant state agencies, representatives of public associations of entrepreneurs, as well as businessmen operating in various fields.
Khalid Ahadov, assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on socio-economic issues, making a speech at the conference, shared his views on declaring 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in our country in connection with the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the series of events carried out in this regard in our country and abroad, the unparalleled services of the Great Leader towards the development of our country, and congratulated the entrepreneurs on the occasion of April 25 "Entrepreneurs' Day"
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov talked in his video address about the role of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation and development of the economy, including the private sector, in our country based on the principles of market relations, and the successful continuation of this policy under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that the business and investment environment in our country is continuously improving, the legislative framework and support tools regulating entrepreneurial activity are being improved based on modern challenges, and entrepreneur-state relations are developing. It was reported that measures will be continued in the coming period for the purpose of entrepreneurship development and business stimulation.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev emphasized that the economic development strategy authored by national leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev is pro-social, and according to this strategy, entrepreneurship plays an important role in social welfare and employment. The minister drew attention to the steps taken in the direction of ensuring the welfare of citizens, especially in the last 5 years, and stated that serious increases in social payments have been achieved within the framework of 4 social reform packages as a result of the head of state's special concern for the social sphere. Close participation and support of corporate social responsibility projects of the private sector, employment provision, expansion of the self-employment program, social protection measures of vulnerable groups, experience of active cooperation with entrepreneurs at the level of social partnership of the Ministry were also mentioned.
Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov shared his memories of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, stated that he successfully brought his people out of the complex historical and political trials of time during all the periods when the National Leader led Azerbaijan, the development of socio-economic, scientific-technical and cultural fields was achieved in our country thanks to his extraordinary management skills and high patriotism.
Bahar Muradova, the chairman of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems, noted that Heydar Aliyev always appreciated the role of women in society, supported them to be at the forefront in various fields of activity, and the development of women leaders and entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan is the result of the successful continuation of this policy.
The Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency Orkhan Mammadov emphasized that the development of small and medium business in our country, increasing the role of SMEs in the economy is one of the priority directions, he informed about the measures taken in this field, the activities of the Agency and the support and services provided to SMEs.
The Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, Sattar Mohbaliyev, spoke in his speech, about the establishment of proper relations between entrepreneurs and employees, and its positive impact on entrepreneurial activity.
President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan, Mammad Musayev noted that the country's entrepreneurs, who respond adequately to state support, make their positive contribution to the development and prosperity of Azerbaijan, and the support provided by entrepreneurs during the pandemic and the 44-day Patriotic War is a great example of public-private sector partnership and shared his views on the work done in the direction of strengthening the state-entrepreneur cooperation, starting from the great leader Heydar Aliyev until today.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Azersun Holding" Abdolbari Goozal and President of the Azerbaijan Banks Association Zakir Nuriyev shared their views on the meetings of national leader Heydar Aliyev with entrepreneurs, the tasks and recommendations given by him including their impressions of meetings with entrepreneurs in April and May 2002, about the reforms implemented in the direction of the development of the private sector.
"The First Century of Eternity. Heydar Aliyev 100" film was screened at the event, dedicated to the life and activities of the Great Leader, the development and prosperity of Azerbaijan, including the work he did in the field of entrepreneurship. An appeal to President Ilham Aliyev was accepted at the end of the conference, on behalf of the event participants.
The event ended with the artistic part.
A photo exhibition depicting various periods of the life and activity of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was organized within the framework of the conference, in the lobby of the "Gulustan" palace.
