First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev participated in the Growth Summit of the World Economic Forum

First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev gave detailed information at the Growth Summit of the World Economic Forum, about national priorities in Azerbaijan, held meetings with the executive directors of the World Economic Forum, and exchanged ideas on new directions of cooperation.

 

The Growth Summit of the World Economic Forum was held in Geneva, Switzerland.

51 sessions were held on global economic cooperation, sustainable and inclusive economic policy, challenges and opportunities created by the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution for the employment field and other topics and the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2023 was presented within the framework of the event attended by officials of various countries, world business and representatives of international organizations.

First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev participated in the sessions "The Future of Jobs", "Promotion of Development in the Conditions of Division", "New Economy and Society", as well as the session of the "Global Equality Consortium" of the Forum.

The participants were also given detailed information about "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for socio-economic development", "Strategy of socio-economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022─2026" as well as about the favorable business environment, the development of the private sector, the economic potential of our territories freed from occupation, the activities of the Azerbaijan Center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network of the World Economic Forum, the work done in the field of digital economy and other events. New trends and approaches in the world economy, measures implemented to improve social welfare and other issues were discussed in the sessions of the summit.

The first deputy minister of economy Elnur Aliyev held meetings with the executive directors of the World Economic Forum, Mirek Dusek and Saadia Zahidi, as well as representatives of the American online education platform "Coursera", and exchanged views on new possible directions of cooperation within the framework of the summit. A preliminary agreement was reached at the meeting with the "Coursera" company, on cooperation in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
