More than 30% of products produced in industrial zones were exported.
Industrial zones play an important role in the development of the country's non-oil sector, competitive industry based on innovative and high technologies, and in ensuring the employment to the population. At present, 128 enterprises with a total investment volume of 7.1 billion manats have been registered as residents in industrial zones, and 66 of them have started production activities. To date, over 6.5 billion manats have been invested in industrial zones.
It is planned at the next stage to invest up to 600 million manats in existing projects in industrial zones and create more than 4,800 permanent jobs. A total of 9.6 billion manats worth of products have been produced so far in the industrial zones, of which 3.1 billion manats have been exported. 768 million manat worth of products were sold in the first quarter of this year by enterprises operating in industrial zones, which means a 13% increase compared to the same period of 2022 (680.9 million manat worth of products were produced in the first quarter of last year). The products produced in the industrial zones were exported to 60 countries of the world (USA, Canada, China, UAE, England, Germany, China, India, Russia, etc.).
