A discussion was held in the meeting with the director of the Turkey Regional Hub of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Walid Mohammad Abdelwahab, on the socio-economic development goals of our country and the expansion of cooperation in priority areas.

The Minister of Economy emphasized that Azerbaijan is interested in the development of relations with the Islamic Development Bank Group, and that the Bank's support in the direction of economic development in our country, including the expansion of the private sector, is highly appreciated. It was pointed out that the initiative of the Islamic Development Bank Group to prepare the Countrywide Cooperation Framework to support the development priorities of the economy of Azerbaijan should be specially noted in this regard. In accordance with the National Priorities for the socio-economic development of our country, renewable energy, reconstruction of our territories liberated from occupation, as well as digital transformation and other directions are provided for in that document.
Walid Mohammad Abdelwahab expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan and emphasized that the Bank is ready to contribute to the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, including the reintegration of our liberated territories, and shared his views on the development directions of the partnership.
The parties discussed the strengthening of cooperation on the socio-economic development goals of our country, priority areas, including the projects implemented in our liberated territories.
