Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Oussama Kaissi, Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC).
Information was provided at the meeting on the measures taken to deepen cooperation during the past period after the adoption of the relevant resolution regarding the membership of the Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), which is part of the Islamic Development Bank of Azerbaijan (IsDB) Group, and it was emphasized that cooperation with the Corporation is highly valued.
Proposals regarding cooperation in the restoration and reconstruction of our territories liberated from occupation were voiced.
The parties exchanged views on promotion of trade and investments, presentation of insurance instruments for the business environment and realization of joint projects, list of development priorities for Azerbaijan and their distribution.
It should be noted that a relevant resolution was adopted regarding our country's membership in the Corporation within the framework of the 47th Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank, held on June 1-4, 2022 in the city of Sharm El Sheikh of the Arab Republic of Egypt. In accordance with the membership procedures of the corporation, the Founding Agreement of ICIEC was approved by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 11, 2022.
