Development directions of Azerbaijan-Hungary relations, prospects of economic cooperation and effective results of partnership on joint projects were discussed.
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, met with the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, who was on a visit to this country.
The importance of the discussions with Hungary was emphasized, satisfaction was expressed with the successful implementation of the agreements reached, the development dynamics of Azerbaijan-Hungary relations, the prospects of economic cooperation and the effective results of partnership on joint projects were exchanged at the meeting.
Viktor Orban touched on the importance of his country's cooperation with Azerbaijan in terms of energy security, and also noted that a number of Hungarian companies have successfully expanded their activities in Azerbaijan, and other Hungarian companies have investment plans in Azerbaijan at the meeting attended also by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjártó, and the Minister of Economic Development, Marton Nagy.
It was noted that Azerbaijan-Hungary trade turnover is increasing and beneficial investment cooperation is being implemented as an indicator of mutual interest in the expansion of partnership. It was stated that there are great opportunities for strengthening relations in energy, industry, transport, information technologies, agriculture, trade, education and other fields, and both countries are taking necessary measures to realize this potential.
The Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjártó within the framework of the visit.
The parties emphasized that Azerbaijan-Hungary relations are based on the principles of strategic partnership, that the leadership of both countries attach special importance to the development of cooperation and the effective use of existing potential.
Iinformation was also provided at the meeting on the possibilities of transport corridors passing through the territory of Azerbaijan, the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Alat Free Economic Zone, and Hungarian companies were invited to take advantage of the favorable business environment and transit potential of our country.
